Taycan World Premiere
Porsche unveiled its first fully electric production car through a trio of global events, each centered on the theme of renewable energy. The locations were carefully selected to reflect this focus: a solar power plant in Germany, a hydroelectric dam in North America, and a beach on China’s Pingtan Island overlooking a wind farm. Each event culminated in a dramatic reveal, with massive doors swinging open to showcase the respective renewable energy source. For the China event, RedRabbit designed, developed, and produced two interactive modules to engage guests before and after the launch show, enhancing their experience with innovative technology tied to Porsche’s sustainable vision.
The first module featured a miniature landscape with three cities, brought to life through AR technology on an iPad. Guests could explore virtual representations of the three renewable power stations—symbolizing the simultaneous global event locations—and activate each plant using a wind meter connected via the headphone jack. The second module showcased an array of holographic fan displays tracing Porsche’s over 100-year electric heritage. Three pivotal vehicles in the evolution of the modern Taycan were highlighted, and with intuitive hand-gesture controls, users could rotate and deconstruct the 3D models to examine their electric drivetrain components. These modules underscored RedRabbit’s ability to blend creativity and cutting-edge interactivity for a memorable brand experience.
